About the Founder
Attorney Sandra Boogaard has been practicing law since 1996, starting as a criminal law prosecutor in Jamaica; and then moving to the US in 2002. (And yes, going through the challenges of the US immigration system herself) After migrating to the United States, she gained accreditation to practice law and set up her immigration law firm, Sandra Boogaard Law Office, in Manhattan, New York, and Canton, Ohio. In the United States, she has continued to increase her knowledge and experience to keep abreast of the fast-paced and dynamic immigration laws, gaining meaningful experience. She is passionate about helping people and finds that immigration practice allows her to put smiles on people’s faces daily.
Sandra is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Ohio Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Stark County Bar Association. She also sits on the board of the Latino Business League and the advisory board of Coleman Behavioral Services in Canton. In 2017, she earned the Latino Business League angel attorney award in Canton, Ohio. And in 2019, Sandra received the Contemporary Trailblazer award from Simple Youth.
Sandra loves to travel and believes that life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all. She has traveled to many countries, including The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, many Caribbean Islands, Canada, Italy, Greece, Belgium, Monaco, and France.
When she is not in the office working assiduously to help her clients, Sandra enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons and continues to try harder at exercising.
